I am currently working as an Android developer but I want to continue my career as a back-end developer. I consider my self having a relatively good knowledge of networking, databases and writing low-level code and other stuff that is involved in back- and mid- ends.

What would be some good courses, training or whatever to improve as a back-end developer? Not the basic ones but rather more advanced ones (not too much, I'm self-taught).
What are the main events in this area?
